Accounts Payable Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Charlestown, Massachusetts. This is a fully onsite, contract-to-permanent position offering opportunities for growth and advancement. The ideal candidate will excel in high-volume invoice processing and demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Review and verify vendor information, including addresses, and input data into the system as required.
• Handle high volumes of invoices monthly, managing up to 2,000 invoices with precision.
• Perform weekly check runs by matching checks with invoices and completing filing and shredding tasks.
• Manage utility and expense invoices while following specific organizational guidelines.
• Collaborate closely with team members to ensure smooth accounts payable operations.
• Maintain focus and attention to detail in a manual processing environment.
• Ensure timely follow-ups and communication using Microsoft Outlook.
• Prepare envelopes and labels for mailing purposes, ensuring accuracy in documentation.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and check runs.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and Outlook for organizational and follow-up tasks.
• Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday, with a consistent schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions meticulously.
• Positive attitude and detail-focused demeanor in all interactions.
• Capability to adapt to manual processes and maintain accuracy under pressure.
