Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Orange, Connecticut. In this role, you will focus on managing B2B collections, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining positive relationships with corporate clients. This position requires excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as a customer-focused approach to resolving payment issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct outreach to business clients regarding overdue invoices, maintaining professionalism and tact in all communications.
• Negotiate payment arrangements with clients to resolve outstanding balances and ensure timely collections.
• Build and sustain positive client relationships by delivering exceptional customer service and representing company values.
• Document collections activities meticulously, updating client account information in company systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address disputes and support the overall accounts receivable process.
• Follow established protocols and respond to management feedback to achieve departmental objectives.
• Monitor cash applications and billing functions to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Review and analyze cash activity to support financial operations and reporting.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve collections processes and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in accounts receivable, B2B collections, or a related finance role.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities, with a focus on resolving payment issues.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and fostering client relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and follow management guidance.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in cash applications, billing functions, and tracking financial activity.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable systems and processes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting financial transactions.
