Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a full-time  Anesthesiologist,  with experience in Obstetrics Anesthesiology, to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health.  South Brooklyn Health is a modern healthcare campus serving South Brooklyn and beyond. Anchored by the 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital, it features an expanded Emergency Department for adult and pediatric trauma care, state-of-the-art surgical suites with robotic technology for precision and faster recovery, and private inpatient rooms. Specialized services include a Certified Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) Center, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, diagnostic and interventional cardiology and radiology, and a modern endoscopy suite. The hospital maintains an academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.

We practice an expanded Anesthesia Care model, taking a leadership role in navigating the perioperative process, in close friendly collaboration with surgeons and nursing staff. Our Department is equipped with all required modern equipment for the safest practice of Anesthesia, including Video-Laryngoscopy, 2 SonoSite Ultrasound Machines for Vascular Cannulation and Regional Anesthesia, 2 Ambu FOB Systems with disposal scopes used in Thoracic Anesthesia and Difficult Airway management, FloTrack System for intraoperative hemodynamic management, and AccuView vein finding system.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
• Skill in Ultrasound Guided Regional Anesthesia is a plus.
• New graduates are welcome!
• An active NYS License is required.
• DEA Certificate.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $421,000* (board eligible); $431,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $600,000** (board eligible) and $610,000** (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, fringe benefits, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
• Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
  • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
• Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
• Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
• Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
• Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
