Mid-Level or Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3 or 4
) to join our Experimental Systems Group (ESG) at
Kennedy Space Center, FL .
ESG supports a variety of government customers spanning technology domains, and is a fast-paced, responsive development environment delivering new capabilities to customers rapidly and affordably. The ESG portfolio consists of a range of platforms and technologies including the X-37B, the world's first fully autonomous reusable spaceplane, which recently landed from its seventh and most ambitious flight yet.
A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics, and directly supporting the production system. In Production Engineering, working as a Manufacturing Engineer, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.
Position Responsibilities: \n - Develop, identify, and implement conceptual designs while maintaining the program architecture for build.
\n - Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
\n - Lead and implement manufacturing plans.
\n - Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure manufacturing process capability aligns with requirements.
\n - Analyze design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
\n - Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.
\n - Assist in providing producibility information for project plans and document best practices.
\n - Resolve technical problems that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule.
\n - Coordinate and implement new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies, and concepts.
\n - Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.
\n - Implement lean principles and technologies
\n - Develops and maintains complex business system factory definition to be used for manufacturing planning.
\n - Partnering with other organizations in the evaluation and refinement of program goals, business objectives, decision support needs, and both the data and performance requirements to meet program/project level objectives.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): \n - Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
\n - 3+ years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment
\n

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): \n - 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
\n - Experience with production systems such as Manufacturing Execution System (MESci), Teamcenter Product Data Management (PDM), Unigraphics (UG) and Visulization Mockup
\n - Experience with 3D model based instructions (MBIs)
\n - Understanding of Industrial Engineering tools and how they integrate into shop systems
\n - Ability to successfully work well and communicate with others in a cross functional team

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Mid-Level (Level 3) Summary pay range: $98,600 - $133,400
Senior (Level 4) Summary pay range: $120,700 - $163,300
